JOB SUMMARY:
The enterprise applications architect will be part of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) department
under the eHealth Strategy and Change Management Office (SCMO) within the Saudi Ministry Of
Health (MOH). He/She will participate in the development and documentation of the eHealth
Enterprise Architecture for the ministry.
In addition, the enterprise applications architect will assist in the architecture governance activities by evaluating the implementation of various eHealth initiatives from both a business and a technology context.
The architecture consultant will participate in a variety of activities to meet the objectives of both
the EA department and the organization, including gathering information, analyzing business needs, coordinating and facilitating the department daily operations.
This role will report directly to the Enterprise Architect Lead and will have interaction with eHealth
business and IT stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Leading the development of the applications architecture views in the context of eHealth
• Evaluating and analyzing EA Change Requests.
• Populating the EA Tool repository.
• Playing a key role in advising solution architects for the various eHealth projects.
• Assuming a technical quality assurance/control role for the various eHealth implementation projects.
• Assisting in development of the eHealth strategic plans.
• Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Lead on the assigned KPIs of enterprise architecture
• Contributing to the development of new RFPs for the initiatives under the E-Health Strategy
and evaluating the responses.
• Supporting the IT Governance activities and periodic compliance validation checks.
• Researching and analyzing contemporary technological trends.
Skills and Experiences
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science,
and Information Technology is a plus.
• Minimum 5-7 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years acting as an Applications Architect
(or Solutions Architect).
• Experience with Modelling and Enterprise Architecture tools is a plus.
• Certification in TOGAF and SOA
• Good business knowledge and understanding of commercial eHealth products (HIS, LIS,
PMS…etc.).
• Excellent understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) including architecture, modeling,
data architecture, ESB, and BPMS.
• Excellent understanding of EA and SOA Governance concepts and frameworks
