with ambitious growth plans is looking for a RAN Field Trials Technical
Authority. Operating cross-functionally and at a senior level, with
multiple Managed Service partners, you will be accountable for ensuring
the best in class Field trails solutions & performance to support
our Brand Values.
Your main role encompasses leading the Field Trials activities of the "future" network ensuring Field Trials results and KPIs follow design strategy to allowed smooth transition to network operations. Whilst you'll act as a primary point of accountability, you will work with functional stakeholders to ensure that the right responsibility levels are established.

Reporting to the Principal Technical Authority for the RAN field Trials, you will provide leadership and the technical expertise during the trial phase.
Working closely with RAN Design, Capacity and Optimisation teams you will drive the technical steering trials focusing on performance KPI's, user experience and network perception. You will champion the design by delivering, scalable and cost effective high quality testing solutions within agreed timescales.
Field Trial Authority - Leading a drive test team you will be responsible for the system, tools and process required for validating Field trails according to design and business requirements.Cross Functional Engagement - Lead effective solutions across- various functional delivery teams, Managed Service Partner and 3rd party vendors to ensure e2e solutions are delivered on time and meet operational acceptance criteria.Operational Assurance - Provide ongoing support to cross-functional operational teams to ensure capacity and in-life performance of solutions is optimised and meet operational KPIs.Technology Strategy - Keep abreast of new technical developments; generate new and innovative ideas and concepts to support business roadmap and strategy. Being the Technical Subject Matter Expert, responsible for setting standards across Field Trials team accountable for the compliance with regulatory, industry and business policies.Effective Solution Delivery - Delivery of best-in-class design solutions, to budget and on time.Vendor Management - Be a key escalation point for defects and operations issues. Develop effective and mutually-beneficial relationships with our Radio Network Vendors.Must Have:
Strong RAN Field Trials and Performance experience in a Senior or Principal role.Experience of solving and end-to-end design challenges that have significant interaction between multiple systems and domains.Demonstrable experience and/or expert knowledge in?the following: 3G & 4G architecture 3G and 4G RRM, Transport and Interface Design 3GPP standards, RRM.Basic IP transport and QoS knowledgeTechnical/KPI ReportingGiS Tools, such as Mapinfo Performance Improvement based on KPIsAdvance programming & Excel skills, sql..Experience of technical Vendor ManagementExperience of programme and project management principlesProven track record of leading, coaching and developing high performing team.Good to Have:
Qualified in a Engineering or Telecommunications discipline, preferably to degree level.Experience of LTE systems, testing, design or deployment.Experience with NSN 3G RAN Performance and KPIs.Business Skills / Personality
Experience of working cross-functionally across a diverse range of business functions.Articulate and good at explaining technical detail in simple non-technical terms to stakeholders. Effective and persuasive communicator with confidence to communicate at all levels.Experience of proactively managing risk and engaging at the appropriate level to resolve complex issues and bottlenecks whilst owning the solution.Manage own time effectively and prioritise several activities simultaneously to deliver to agreed timescales.Self-motivated, delivery focused individual who takes responsibility and willing to go into the details when needed.Ability to see the bigger picture and distinguish the important and urgent.Understand key business drivers, including marketing and financial objectives.An individual who can influence others because people trust, respect them and find them approachable.Someone who will naturally inspire others with their energy, communication and commitment to what has to be achieved.
