with ambitious growth plans is looking for a Principal Voice Core Test
Engineer to lead a team that validates and delivers Voice solutions to
an operational environment.
Operating cross-functionally, with multiple external partners, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an outstanding network experience required by our brand.

Your role encompasses the validation and integration activities of the "as is" and "future" network (redesign/add, change and/or increase the networks services and resources for capacity, features and functionality). As part of a team, you will work with functional stakeholders to ensure that the right responsibility levels are established - working to exercise influence without direct authority.
The candidate requires solid technical knowledge in principles and concepts of Service Control together with an understanding of messaging service including SMS, MMS and voicemail with good cross functional working skills to develop and support close working relationship with the other network (Data Core, Voice Core, and Radio) domains within CTO, CIO and program functions to drive and achieve the objectives set for the Network Test and Integration Team.
Leading a team of engineers and reporting to the Head of Test and Integration, this role will be the validation lead accountable for the Testing Lifecycle of the 3G Voice Core and IMS domain. Working closely with the design and operations teams, you will champion the validation and integration delivery aspects of high quality, scalable and cost effective solutions in support of business initiatives whilst maintaining high levels of customer experience and network perception. This shall include the transition through design, validation and delivery to Operations. Manage the technical leadership relationship with internal and external key technology suppliers to understand and influence their roadmap to support the resolution of issues and delivery of functionality in support of business goals and best in class end-to-end customer solutions. This role will be accountable for the validation processes required to test changes to technical systems , applications, services and elements within the Voice Core Domain on the test and live networks in accordance with the ITIL initiatives adopted by the wider business organisation. Working with internal stakeholders this role will accountable for the operational integrity of the elements and systems within the domain providing timely issue resolution to support other validation programs. You will also be accountable for the development of processes to operationally manage those elements and systems within the test network. Working with the project management function you will drive the delivery of projects under your control while managing and monitoring the time dependant benefits and budget utilisation against capex and opex targets. People are our most important asset and this role will be responsible for the development of the people you manage to help realise individual and team performance potential.Accountable for the validation of Voice Designs prior to deployment into the Production environment using established test network processes using standalone test methods and performance test equipment.Working with internal and external stakeholders you will be accountable for the coordinated production of high quality test plans that drive our validation programs.Accountable for all the test artefacts needed to validate a program including test strategy, test plans, issue management and test reporting for the domain. You will be a test lead working with industry leading network equipment to execute tests and gather evidence for test failures, defects and test network faults.Accountable for the operational management of the test network for the Voice and IMS domain, including the definition and documentation of day to day operational processes to maintain the health of the test bed.Accountable for the operational integrity of the test network to ensure issues and faults are resolved to minimise impact on other running test programs. Working knowledge of the 3G and/or IMS voice core networkA demonstrable understanding of signaling and Call flows within the CS and /or IMS network.Good understanding of IP and associated protocols and its uses in the voice core network.Good understanding of Core Network Operational Support Systems and processes.Demonstrable knowledge of the testing lifecycle - experience a real benefit.Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.Experience of deployment of key network systems through the delivery lifecycle from initial design to full operational handover.Vendor management skills and experience.Project and Design lifecycle understanding.Proven experience of motivating people and teams to drive outcomes.Nice to Have:
Good working knowledge of NSN SDM Product.Up to date understanding of the LTE network as well as key associated technologies and functionality including IMS, RCSe, VOLTE and CSFB.Working knowledge of IP networksExperience of working with NSN/Samsung/Mavenir core network systems.Ability to travel and work from remote locations on a regular basis.Time served experience in 2 of the following work areas: design, test or operations.Educated to degree or higher vocational education level in a Telecommunications or network discipline.
