Customer Support VAS Engineer

Job Description



•Manage networks and nodes within the VAS domain including the LBS services, EIR. This includes:

•Preventive maintenance activities

•Incident Management activities

•Assurance Support activities

•Customer Experience Management activities

•Problem Management activities

•System Administration activities

•Participate in project activities by implementing new configurations on EPC nodes

•On regular base covering the 7x24 Call-out responsibility

•Provide input, implement and verify improvements in processes

•Verify and implement configuration changes

•Ability to transfer knowledge to colleagues



Competence & Qualification



•In depth knowledge of operation and troubleshooting of Ericsson MPS GMPC, SMPC, Spatial Trigger, LBS positioning services, and CIWS.

•Experience of different positioning methods in GSM, WCDMA and LTE networks like CGI/TA, U-TDOA, CID, RTT, CID, ECID, A-GPS, AECID etc.

•The MPS 3PP vendors Mobilaris and Reach-U applications experience.

•Good understanding of protocols: LIS, DIAMETER, SS7, MAP, SMPP, MPP etc.

•Ericsson ECE and EIR solution.

•Knowledge and Experience of Unix / Linux operating systems. Scripting skills in Perl or Shell is a plus.

•IP knowledge and SIGTRAN

•Oracle databases.

•Knowledge of mobile networks GSM, WCDMA and LTE.

•Ability to work independently and in a team environment

•Presentation and Communication Skills

•Ability to work under strong pressure related to scale of business impact

•Bachelor/Master of science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience
