About the Position
VRC are currently looking for a talented and highly motivated individual with solid machine learning background to work with our customers engineering team, to architect robust, scalable and high quality big data systems. As part of this team, you will bring a solid track record of highly scalable big data analytics solutions, and demonstrate rich experience with creative and advanced machine learning technologies. You will be required to work with large data sets using quantitative techniques and build complex statistical models that learn from big data.
Your responsibilities include:
- Apply data mining, statistics and machine learning to measure, understand and predict customer behavior, customer loyalty etc
- Investigate, prototype and productify features and machine learning models to improve customer satisfaction
- Build scalable predictive models with large number of features
Requirements & Qualifications (domain specific, partial qualifications taken into account)
PhD in Data mining, Machine learning, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or other quantitative discipline
10+ years experiences and expertise with predictive analytics / statistical modeling / machine learning such as Linear & Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, K-Nearest Neighbors, Markov Chain Monte Carlo, Gibbs Sampling etc., Evolutionary Algorithms (e.g. Genetic Algorithms, Genetic Programming), Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks, Deep Belief Nets, RBMs etc
5+ years experiences with customer experience assurance & management
Very strong mathematical and statistical background
Expert in at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Python, Java, C++, or R
Desired Skills
Strong domain knowledge on mobile operator network infrastructure
Proficient with big data systems and methodologies: Spark, Hadoop, Cascading, Hive, Pig
Performance tuning experience for large computation systems
Experience in writing design documents
Behavioral Competencies

Flexible
Self-driven, self-managed, and highly motivated
Pragmatic (seeking for solutions that work)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
This is a 6 month renewable contract based in Western Europe and the pay rate of 70-80euros per hour is all inclusive.
