BSC/ Engineer with RF, Huawei/ZTE/Siemens Experience –Plus
The BSC Engineer/PM will be responsible for planning and engineering of BSC/RNCs across multiple markets and regions. This candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience with core network projects, particularly BSC/RNC design, capacity planning & deployment. Must be knowledgeable of core architecture elements connecting to/from the BSC/RNCs and be able to plan, engineer & rehome as required. The candidate is also responsible to take care of the implementation activities such as: Installation supervision, commissioning and integration of the BSC/MSC and Transcoder (TCSM) network elements delivered by Huawei/ZTE/Siemens. Perform the tests for the network elements according to the correct documentation in order to get the network elements accepted by the customer.
Job description
• Responsible in leading the planning of BSC/RNC and other elements within the core network.
• Provide consultancy and drive enforcement on best practices for BSC/RNC capacity management and monitoring together with delivery of
detailed guidelines.
• Be able to translate subscriber growth, traffic growth, subscriber traffic profile, handset penetration into BSC and RNC requirement via
dimensioning skills and ensure the robustness of the design to cater for required capacity and loading.
• Provide consultancies in BSC/RNC dependencies and performance management during swap and rollout activities.
• To ensure inter-dependencies of BSC/RNC design/planning are captured and addressed.
• To champion the relevant default parameter setting definitions to align with best quality and design strategy for BSC/RNC.
• Develop relevant planning and dimensioning strategies and guideline.
• Leading the interface with vendor master BSC/RNC planner.
• Manage field activity for all installation, commissioning and integration works according to the vendor site documentation and quality of
the work fulfills the vendor standards.
• Perform all the test of the BSC/MSC and TCSM elements during the commissioning and integration phases. Ensure site
performance for the acceptance of the customer.
• Manage the installation of BSC expansion (plug-in units), commissioning and integration of the BSC/MSC and TCSM or
related NW elements according of the right and valid documentation provided by vendor.
• Provide the technical support of BSC/MSC and TCSM element inside vendor’s organization as requested.
• Analyze the Technical Notes, Change Notes and all changes, modifications and retrofits to be done to the SW/HW or to the
documentation of the BCS/MSC and TCSM or other BSS related NW elements.
• Documentation according to the project procedures.
• Completing the test logs together with the representatives of the customer.
• Trouble shooting if needed and reporting to the product line.
• SW Maintenance- Release upgrades, CD installation and HW retrofit according the SOP's.
