Technical Support Manager

Our client is urgently seeking a Technical Support Manager to work in South Africa on a contract basis.



Due to a strict immigration process and budget requirements for this project, this role is ideally suited to South African locals or existing Work Permit holders.



Duties and responsibilities:



Technical Support provides technical expertise per technology to support all Network Operations functions and is main interface with Vendor Care/Support functions on technical matters regarding Network Operations for all technologies in scope:



•Leadership & Management of Technical Engineers & Technicians teams

•Ensures highest level technical support skills per technology

•Ensures technical support to Fault Management function

•Ensures technical support to Performance Management function

•Ensures technical support to Configuration Management function

•Ensures collaboration of technical teams to resolve complex matters

•Ensures technical support per technology 24x7 (Call-out)

•Ensures complex technical matters are resolved

•Ensures support to plan/ execute complex network HW/ SW upgrades

•Ensures technical expertise for investigations into major outages

•Ensures technical reports as required by NOC management

•Ensures technical competence development for Net Ops functions

•Ensures interfaces with Vendors on escalated technical matters

•Ensures routine maintenance checks are documented, scheduled and undertaken

•Ensures technical expertise for PM report analysis and formula writing
