NOC Supervisor

We are looking for a NOC supervisor who is responsible for the performance and daily activities of operational team, such as Front Office.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

• Responsible to manage the Front Office, the organization and motivation of all operation personnel.
• Conduct or participate in recruitment interviews for selection of personnel.
• Be able to recognize the training requirements for personnel and give coaching where applicable and competence development
• Be responsible for the well being of all staff in terms of their working environment and conditions of employment.
• Ensure that the operational team is adequately staffed at all times.
• Provide the Front Office Manager with operation reports on a scheduled basis.
• Interface with the client at various levels and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for financials and relevant Cost Centre performance within the operational team.
• Responsible for operational KPIs / SLAs and ensuring the contractual service delivery
• Responsible for Teams efficiencies and operational metrics
• Single Point Of Contact for all network outages and incidences
MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Co-ordinate works between operational team, customer and 3rd parties to ensure smooth delivery of services to customer.
• Act as customer interface for operational issues and building relationship with customer
• Responsible for the operational team’s performance.
• Responsible for network performance as per contractual KPI’s
• Responsible to support full implementation of processes and procedures in the operational team
• Define and set up of resource management operational routines based on main goals and priorities defined by operations management. This includes definition of routines activities within the operational team e.g. performance reporting, backup handling.
• Responsible for the planning of human resources within the operational team.
• Responsible to define the reporting in accordance with the contractual obligation, and to schedule for regular collection of statistics.
• Responsible for vendor management i.e. ensuring that vendors are performing in according with service level agreement. This implies the need to have regular operational and performance meeting with the vendors.
• Act as outage manager during network outages recovery procedure and participate in On-Call Duty Manager rotation.

PERTINENT EXPERIENCE
• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in Telecom industry.
• Have a strong management background in the telecommunication industry preferably in the Operation or Support capacity.

• Good knowledge of Mobile communications
• Good knowledge of the network topology, its traffic handling capabilities and traffic characteristics.
• Good knowledge of Core, Access, and Radio Network performance parameters and their interpretation and use.
• Highly Developed knowledge of network implementation / integration processes
• Excellent knowledge of network operations
• Good knowledge of financial management
• Excellent customer management skills
Business Competence
• Fluent in written and spoken English (Arabic is a major plus)
• Highly Developed management skills and people relation skills.
• Highly Developed leadership skills and motivational skills
Human Competence
• Be able to work independently
• Be prepared to work on a 24 x 7 recall roster
• Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
• Able to work as a member of a team and lead junior staff from time to time.
• Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals.
• A thorough and methodical approach to work.
• Must be able to work to tight time scales.
• High degree of analytical and investigative abilities.
• Able to work pro-actively with other vendors and subcontractors
• Be prepared to be involved in network related emergency handling activities
