Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom has awarded a 5 year managed services contract to Ericsson.
As a result, some 640 Hrvatski Telekom employees will be transferred to a newly established subsidiary of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, a local subsidiary company that Ericsson owns a near 50% stake.
The five-year contract for construction and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure includes planning and construction of fixed and mobile networks, maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, telecom network monitoring, as well as field maintenance of active access and passive networks.
Hrvatski Telekom is 51% owned by Germany's Deutsche Telekom, with the rest held by investors or listed on the stock market.
