The Communication Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and support for the project team including configuration, design and preparation of technical documentation during the design, deployment, integration and validation of IP-based radio systems and other related projects. This position will be mainly focused in the NY/NJ area, although there will be travel to other areas of the US.
Provide support to the project teams on engineering processes, design and documentation.
Active participation in the system design, detailing interfaces, configuration, user profiles and architecture design.
Definition of inspection protocols focused on internal and customer acceptances.
Calculation, design and validation of settings, system configuration parameters.
Development of technical documentation related to the projects.
Compilation and analysis of information from project start-up and interventions.
Proposal of technical solutions to the presented problems in the project implementation.
Coordination of the engineering activities for the project deployment.
Supervise the technical activities undertaken in the field of their specialty in the project.
5+ years related experience in similar position within the Land Mobile Radio industry.
Must own your own vehicle.
Engineering and / or telecommunications consulting, technical solution design and system integration.
Systems and transport network (microwave, PDH, SDH, Optical Fiber, etc.).
Systems and data networks and telephony (TCP / IP, Ethernet, PSTN, ISDN, PBX, SIP, VoIP, etc.).
Professional Mobile Radio Communication and / or mobile telephony.
Experience in DMR, P25, LTE systems. Trunking and PMR
CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications or similar are a plus.
Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
