Nexius is hiring a Sr. CADD Designer in the Baltimore/Washington area.

Performs basic engineering design tasks to prepare drawings utilizing AutoCAD.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs basic engineering design tasks to prepare drawings utilizing AutoCAD.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Maintains advanced knowledge of wireless equipment and compound layouts.
- Prepares design development drawings on AutoCAD from preliminary design drawings and/or field sketches.
- Produces A&E drawings with accuracy and attention to details. Performs basic design computations.
- Translates sketches, verbal and written information into CADD drawings
- Organizes the layout of plans, details and schedules on the CADD drawings.
- Assists in scheduling the assigned projects by developing charts and revising schedules under the direction of the project manager.
- Checks own work (using highlight marker) to ensure that all redlined corrections are fully and accurately transferred to the CADD files.
- Gives direction and training to new, and other, CADD Designer staff members.
- Is proficient in computer software programs, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- 4-6 years of postgraduate experience in engineering and AutoCAD in the Telecom Industry.
