Nexius is hiring a Project Manager/Engineering in the Baltimore/Washington area.

GENERAL SUMMARY 

Performs engineering management and supervision of projects from job procurement through preliminary and final design to job completion stage.  Plans, organizes and supervises the quality and progress of all phases of the assigned project(s).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Maintains advanced knowledge of wireless equipment and compound layouts.
• Produces A&E drawings with accuracy and attention to details.  Performs basic design computations.
• Identifies process problems, develops and/or recommends solutions.
• Proficient in computer software programs, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Determines project manpower needs to meet projected completion schedule, establishes priorities, and adjusts or alters manpower allocations as required.
• Coordinates the required staffing (disciplines required and numbers of each) for large and complex projects.
• Gives direction and training to new, and other, CADD Designer staff members. 
• Monitors and supervises the activities of the staff assigned to the project. 
• Obtains necessary approvals from client and regulatory agencies in accordance with contract provisions.
• Determines individual project fee allocations and monitors percent of budget spent vs. actual progress. 
• Maintains all project accounting data and prepares monthly progress reports.
• Provides coordination and work scheduling of project between all technical disciplines and client.
• Attends client meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Conducts a detailed design review of final plans and specifications ensuring accuracy and completion prior to issuing final construction drawings.
• Assists in marketing activities including proposal preparation, job estimates, technical presentations, and project development.
• Responsible for capturing new work for the firm targeting both current clients and prospective clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering with minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience in the Telecom Industry.
• Excellent leadership and strong oral/written communication skills.
