Nexius is currently hiring a Network Engineer in the Redmond, WA area. This position is an opportunity to join Nexius’ Technology Services Organization. The Nexius Technology Services team advises organizations, network operators, vendors, and investors on emerging technologies, and helps them formulate sound business and technology solutions.

- In depth call flow knowledge of LTE and UMTS networks
- As a lab test SME, independently execute TOL TCs, collect traces and have discussion with design team on TOL results and next steps
- Ability to work in a Lab test environment to execute TOL TCs, collect Wireshark traces and analyze traces to determine if test case passed/failed or identify exception scenario
- Troubleshoot network issues and analyze call flows using JDSU, Iris View, Wireshark, NetScout, Access7, Tektronix G10.
- Good working knowledge of IP networking
- Proficient in Linux, Excel (formulas, macros), power point and HP Quality Center / ALM
- Excellent interpersonal communication skill set and is a team player
- Willing to learn new technologies and requires minimum supervision
- 5+ years of MME and SGSN engineering experience with a deep knowledge and understanding of packet core network call flows and procedures.
- Hands-on experience with E/// MME or ALU MME.
- Strong knowledge on LTE call flows and LTE network interoperability with 3G network.
- Fully proficient with LTE and 3G network protocols and procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in LTE or 3G network
- Understand the function and purpose of the following network components: MME, SGSN, SGW, PGW, PCRF, PCEF, RNC, eNB, Nb.
- Verse in both LTE and 3G network architectures as well as their interfaces and protocol stack (S1, S5/S8, S11, Iub, IuPS, etc.).
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to provide root cause analysis and drive issues to resolution
- Experience with node provisioning and SW loading
