▫ Design IBS coverage solutions to provide indoor coverage in venues suffering from poor coverage or requiring dedicated capacity as Airports, Shopping Malls, Stadiums, High-rise towers … etc. for different technologies including GSM, UMTS, LTE, TETRA, iDEN, CDMA, and 1xEV-DO on different frequency bands.
▫ Assessment of the optimum Distributed Antenna System (DAS) type (Active/Passive or hybrid) according to technical, financial and logistics’ metrics by assessing different active/passive suppliers’ IBS solutions.
▫ Perform capacity study for the venue in order to determine the required capacity to offer and plan the sectorization strategy in order to minimize Soft Handoff and intra-site interference.
▫ Create fully digitized IBwave designs by importing venue layouts, antenna placement, DAS connectivity, power balancing and different predictions running to enable accurate BoQ extraction and submit the solution in a presentable format.
▫ Optimize IBS venues to enhance end-customer experience in terms of call continuity, call quality and data rate performance by minimizing dropped calls, interference and SHO regions to ensure IBS dominance over interfering sites.
▫ Familiar with 2G/3G/LTE planning and optimization process for indoor sites: Drive Test Analysis on Actix, TEMS and Nemo. Performance Monitoring on NetAct Plan Editor or Business Objects. Reports generation and automation on Actix.
▫ Conduct pre-design survey to acquire design information as noise floor level, equipment room location, vertical risers, wall material types, VIP areas, and any venue specific parameters.
▫ Perform Continuous Wave (CW) tests on different technologies and frequencies and use CW test data to calibrate propagation model on iBwave design tool.
▫ Present the full IBS solution to customer and respond to any technical queries that might arise.
▫ Study new solutions that can are developed for IBS coverage including Small Cells, WiFi planning and large scale active solutions.
▫ iBwave Design Certified Level 1 mandatory, Levels 2 and 3 are a plus.
