Within Microsoft IT, The Product Creation Capability Unit (PCC) is responsible for creating, running and optimizing globally shared product planning and engineering processes, tools and infrastructure to ensure a secure, robust and high performing environment supporting Microsoft product creation in a fast and flexible manner. SCM Solution delivery team in MPS-IT/PCC Unit is responsible for supporting and administering SCM tools for Phones BU teams, and for the rest MMO SCM needs.
We are currently looking for a Service Manager into our team.
To make the most of this opportunity, you are a recognized expert with a relevant degree and 8-12 years of experience with SCM, GIT, Perforce. You are used to work and make decisions independently. You already have a strong history of leading SCM service daily operations in support of business critical large scale engineering systems. You are skilled in managing agile projects and have experience of product road mapping. On top of this, you are innovative, confident, and fluent in written and spoken English.
In this challenging role you will be responsible for:
- Daily operation o?SCM services in accordance to agreed IT service management principles
  • service tickets management
  • incident management, MIP management
  • providing systematic metrics for all services
  • service related documentation
- Technical advisory and evaluation of proposals to the service or project management
- Defining, reviewing and approving the deliverables of supplier work
- Enforcing the quality and processes of development
- Appling security, performance, scalability and availability guidelines
- Organizing needed support functions to users
- Ensuring that the solution is implementable, maintainable, reusable and effectively uses existing Microsoft and industry standard components
- Participate SCM global support network activitie?
As the top candidate for the open role you should have:
- Strong ITIL skills and experience in operative IT service management in minimum 5 years
?Broad exposure with specialism in SCM technology areas
- Programming experience: Java and Scripting: Perl, Shell, Python
- Experience about setting up and operating complex IT environments including HA and virtualized servers
- Understanding IT security, including ability to evaluate existing service security
- Microsoft IT / intranet knowledge
- Architectural understanding, system integration, project management, virtual team management, understanding business, supplier management.
- Good communication and teamwork skills
