IT Project Manager
Responsibilities:
For one of our clients based in Dubai, with a strong focus on respecting planning deadlines and functional scope, the project manager will:
Coordinate all the client’s resources contributing to the project. Identify gaps and request for resources.
Identify mitigation plans. Know when to take actions and when to request managerial arbitrations.
Report on project advance, risks, mitigation actions.
Interface with customer for collecting technical requirements, analyzing requirements and proposing solutions.
Work closely with the client’s teams, Dubai based and off-shore teams, in order to define solutions and
pilot the whole implementation stream (design, development, testing, deployment) led by our client.
Proactively propose solutions to the customer & maintain a joint/collaborative effort with the client’s
partners to deliver the RFP promise.
Guide the evolution of solution to ensure minimum impact on capability of delivering.
Ensure smooth transition from the delivery team to the Support team. In particular, ensure that our client delivers a solution which is up to the expected SLA.
Anticipate & demonstrate expertise regarding Project Planning, Tracking and Control and related impact
analysis & risk management.
Define process & plan for, and then pilot, the on-boarding of new Service Providers on the delivery platform.
Implement the Quality processes in assigned projects.
Provide vision for the client’s team, set team goals and objectives.
Manage resources effectively & minimize cost implications such as time and effort wastage.
Skill required:
Mandatory skills:
English fluency is mandatory
Experience in handling multiple projects of varied technologies. High focus on IT projects (back-ends integration, payment and authentication systems, CRM).
Expertise in software processes & documentation and ensuring their implementation.
Problem solving & conflict management
Detail-oriented & focused
Key technologies: IT, web services, J2EE platform
Desired skills:
Will have to coordinate on a daily-basis with other teams working on OTA, mPKI, secure element, TSM, mobile applications and widgets.
Understanding of complex multi-actor use cases and sequence diagrams.
Design & architecture knowledge and guiding the team for quality delivery.
Able to define project requirements & approach in order to ensure later certifications of the solutions (e.g.
PCI-DSS)
Ability to work on different development models (Agile, waterfall).
Arabic fluency is optional, considered as a plus
Analytical skills
Ability to motivate and effectively work with distributed teams
Expert time management for handling complex multi-party tasks
Strong customer facing skills
Refined presentation skills
Experiences:
Mandatory experiences
6+ years of relevant professional experience
Experience in complex multi-party IT project management
Hands-on experience Managing IT projects for MNOs in general
Desired experiences
Hands-on experience Managing IT projects for MNOs in UAE
Hands-on experience working on technology projects for retail banks or large merchants in mobile commerce, payments and value-added-services.
Project management certifications (Prince2, PMP) preferred.
Experience in mobile application development preferred.
Minimum Bachelor’s level technical education.
Exposure to projects using security and encryption tools for smartcards in banking or telecom industry.
Passion for mobile services and exposure to the mobile industry.
