China's Ministry of Finance say that Apple did not
abide by relevant rules, which is why its products have been dropped
from government agencies' procurement list.
Apple was recently dropped by the Ministry as a supplier for government
contracts, which was originally reported as being due to security concerns about
the US firm's iPad and iPhone devices.
The ministry says Apple has not submitted certificates required by government
procurement rules since June last year. Documents needed mainly include a letter
of commitment on stable product supply, correct product information, and
business-running certificates in China.
The company's products are eligible to be part of the list, as they meet
with China's energy saving standard, the Ministry said. But during the past
three public notifications, the ministry did not receive any certificates from
the company.
