JOB PURPOSE
The Mobile Financial System Process Specialist (MFS PS) will have as responsibility the regional implementation of the Millicom Process framework for MFS services. You will provide support as a Subject Matter Expert to local Process Owners for the definition, implementation and constant improvement of the MFS processes. Also, you will work alongside Regional MFS architects to automate MFS operational process model.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• The MFS PS will be required to deliver End-to-End processes for the MFS organization, by working closely with Commercial, Go-To-Market, Customer Operations, Finance and others business areas, creating and successfully delivering a robust MFS operational process model.
• The MFS PS will work closely with Regional MFS architects to automate the MFS operational process model.
• The MFS PS will implement and maintain Millicom process framework for MFS, identify process owners and drivers, implement tracking of process metrics and business KPIs, and maintain local process in the group process toolset.
• Serve as a catalyst for positive change. Identify critical business process areas and plan improvement projects involving MFS process owners and business champions. Providing consulting to re-engineer and strengthen their business processes.
• Assess process strengths and weaknesses including senior & operating management focused interviews, analytical procedures, transaction testing, bench marking of best practices across MFS activities to determine optimal techniques for improving effectiveness and efficiency of MFS business operations.
• Establish on-going communication with the management and influence their view and buy-in to the value of effective controls in achievement of business objectives, elicit their support for process improvement recommendations, establish ownership of action plans at the appropriate point within the organization.
• Coordinate the MFS implementation of process initiatives in coordination with the Global Processes function and regularly report on progress of execution, issues and propositions for improvements.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors or masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field (e.g. Process Engineering),
• Post grade and/or courses in business administration, finance or IT management are useful,
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Finance and/or Telecom industry as Business Process Analyst / Specialist
• Lean / Six-Sigma certification is a plus
• Experience with Business Process Modeling solutions is desirable,
• Excellent understanding of project management principles. Project management qualification – PMP courses are desirable,
• Solid English Language, and ideally French.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
• Strong knowledge and solid experience in Business Processes Development for Telcos and / or Finance institutions. Experience in Mobile Financial Services is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge and solid experience in Business process improvement methodologies e.g. Lean/Six-Sigma,
• Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, workflows and integration capabilities,
• Good knowledge of business process modeling tools,
• Knowledge and experience in project management. Must have very strong skills in Project Initiation especially in requirements gathering, understanding the level of detail required to proceed with any project, project estimation, planning and rapid mobilization.
