Network and Service Modeling Expert

VRC are seeking highly skilled and motivated candidates to strengthen an existing team. Within this role, the successful candidate will add deep knowledge of model driven development and Model Driven Architecture to the existing architecture and proof of concept team. Successful candidates will architect a next generation system to provide a single network-wide interface to all network devices and all network applications and services, as well as a common modeling language and data store for both services and devices. Within this role, successful candidate will add deep knowledge of NFV and SDN Orchestration configuration management concepts. As an expert, you will also be responsible to guide and direct the development teams in realizing our next generation architectures.

Your responsibilities include:

 Lead architect in network fulfillment and service orchestration.
 Member of architecture team reporting to chief architect Architecting and developing agile proof of concept for next generation configuration management
 Guide and direct key technological trends by taking insight from IT/ Internet technology in the field of modeling and development enablers.


Requirements & Qualifications (domain specific, partial qualifications taken into account)
 Master or higher degree in computer science, software architectures and/or communications or significant relevant industry experience
 8+ industry years experience, with at least 4+ years of R&D working experience in Model driven development.
 Skilled in object-oriented design techniques (e.g. Design Patterns)
 Strong foundation around configuration management concepts
 Thorough understanding of current telecom and networking technologies
 Good understanding of MDA and code generation
 Good understanding of Object Constraint Language
 Good understanding of RESTful webservices
 Good understanding of language parsing
 Familiar with build tools such as Maven
 Familiar with Eclipse modeling framework EMF
 Familiar with Netconf and YANG
 Familiar with Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts
 Familiar with Network Function Virtualization (NFV) concepts

This is a fulltime position. Business trips to CHINA requested as necessary.
