is rapidly changing. The internet and a new generation of devices are converging entertainment silos in TV, movies, music, games, and applications.

Mediaroom is looking for a talented software development engineer with strong engineering skills, passionate in building scaled services on current Mediaroom service platform and for next generation entertainment service platform.
Primary Responsibilities:
• We are looking for a motivated and experienced technical lead in AV testing area, who is able to independently own testing areas and make sure the quality for both product and Engineering process
• Excellent technical skill and coding skill, extend test framework, write testing code, testing code review and improvement as lead in test org.
• Understands and clarifies how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements
• Work closely with developers to analyze architecture, design & source code and to detect potential risks
• Create test plans, strategies & test cases for the features he/she owns
• Designs and develops/uses test automation tools independently & effectively
• Investigate and repro bugs for fast turnaround time
• Analyzes patterns of defects and propose solution for product and engineering process

Basic Qualifications:
• Master in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ Years of design, software development in testing and debugging skills/experience with C# or C, C++
• 2+ Years people management experience, still focusing on tech at the same time
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent debugging, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong cross-group, communication and influence skills, self-driven and proven ability to execute in a cohesive team environment.
• Ability/willingness to learn new technologies.
• Passion for being innovative.
• Commitment to sound engineering best practices.
The following skills are definite plus:
• Experience with AV background and (e.g. MPEG 2 TS, MP4, Smooth Streaming).
• Experience with building automation test framework.
• Good sense of software product quality and test workflow.
• Track record delivering features and functionality on schedule, at high quality.
• Experience with networking background (e.g. CDNs, HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS).
