GCH-Media and Applications - Senior Solution Architects ? Ericsson has established a Global Competence Hub (GCH) in Ireland to provide increased coverage globally as well as supporting new product and service introduction. To facilitate this growth, Ericsson is looking to identify and hire a number of highly motivated Solutions Architects in the Media and Applications area. A number of positions are available for MultiService Proxy (MSP) experts with a proven SI delivery record, excellent end-to-end network experience and a broad understanding of the telecommunications industry. ? The initial focus areas for the MSP GCH will be ?????Expansion of existing MSP deployments ?????Mobile Video and Internet Optimisation ?????User Entitlement (AFG and similar solutions) ? Solution Architects in the GCH are placed in the centre of projects, entailing a high level of interaction with customers as well as internal teams. A critical pre-requisite of these highly visible and senior roles is the willingness to travel and work internationally in line with business requirements. ? Reporting to the Media and Applications MSP GCH Domain Manager, responsibilities for these roles include (but are not limited to):

• Perform the Customer Solution Architect Role in both Pre-Sales & Delivery
• Leading the solution analysis, solution design (and where required) leading technical teams
• Fulfil the role of CSR in the Program Core 3 team and drive the program to fulfil the technical targets, with vision of the future trends and creativity.
• Support the Core 3 and EP in answering RFx’s
• Secure our Customers evolution and transformation to an “All IP World”.
• Ability to engage at Operator C-Level in pre-sales, to align offerings and proposals with the customers network strategy
• Support the CPM with customer questions and provide an excellent view on the governance and scope of the system integration project.Ensure a smooth transition between the pre-sales and delivery phases of a project by taking technical leadership from SPD0 to SDP4
• Conduct technical audits for customer solutions and propose competitive, future proof solutions that will secure customer satisfaction and drive business growth
• Share and transfer knowledge, presenting to others on audit findings, solutions and new releases
• Display leadership with respect to Ericsson resources, third party suppliers and contractors.
• Taking the technical lead to secure the professional delivery of solution?
• Participating in Global Competence Hub missions and focus areas including taking a technical lead role and contributing to business direction
• Participating in the Strategic Business Unit programs
• Developing competence in new growth areas to help evolve our business
• Act as a role model and mentor for less experienced members of the team

? Qualifications: These roles are most likely to be suited to experienced technical people with network level end to end technical knowledge. ? To be considered candidates will need to:

• Have extensive (ideally 4-5 years)MSP and VAS knowledge across multiple customers and solutions
• Be able to travel internationally with short notice in line with business requirements.
• Be fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Demonstrate experience in services for complex Media and Applications/ VAS systems in customer environments
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Ericsson sales and delivery processes and how they interact
• Demonstrate advanced skills in communicating, leading, influencing, building networks and relationships, presenting, coordinating, planning and delivering results
• Have experience of working with Operators, 3PPs and Product Development Units
• Be able to demonstrate their experience of working effectively under pressure, across multiple cultures and complex environments
• Provide evidence of a broad knowledge and experience of Telecommunication networks, from service and application layer to backbone
• Demonstrate competence in working independently as well as part of a team
• Hold a degree in Business or Engineering/ICT as a minimum (or equivalent).
• Be currently BUGS certified to a Senior level or higher, or be acting at a Senior level for a minimum of 3 years
• Possess the following:
• Excellent knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies
  
• Experience working in a direct customer-facing role with related pre-sales responsibilities
  
• Experience with next generation Authentication Protocols and call flows
  
• Excellent knowledge of UNIX O/S
  
• Working knowledge of Databases such as MySQL and Oracle
