Mobile Financial System Information Security Specialist : United Kingdom

JOB PURPOSE
The Mobile Financial System Information Security Specialist (MFSISS) has complete ownership of all the Information Security matters of the Mobile Financial Systems Projects and is responsible to coordinate with the factory to ensure that all Security Safeguards are being put in place. He will be the direct accountable individual for the entire information security aspects of the MFS solutions under his/her responsibility, guaranteeing protection, accuracy, quality and time line accomplishment. His goal is to gain a complete understanding of the Security challenges the system needs to be protected against and effectively put in place the Security measures by liaising with the software factories and platform suppliers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• The MFSISS will be required to implement all Information Security Measures for all systems for the MFS organization. He will also work closely with the Factory, Finance and others business areas, creating winning proposals and successfully delivering within time and budget.

• The MFSISS will be supporting the Factory and MFSRA in the design and implementation of regional MFS solutions such that it meets Information Security Standards and local Regulatory compliance in each country.

• The MFSISS will be working with the Regional Information Security Officer to extend the existing Security Systems Protection coverage to the New MFS Systems such that they benefit from existing Security Investments made.

• The MFSISS will be required to work with the Regional Information Security Officer to ensure that Changes introduced to the TIGO Networks do not introduce vulnerabilities to the MFS systems.

• The MFSISS will be responsible for auditing existing MFS systems and preparing remediation plans to ensure that there is maximum protection.

• The MFSISS is responsible for ensuring that Suppliers follow Secure Software Delivery lifecycle and work with them to correct source code weaknesses.

• The MFSRA will be responsible for testing the Security aspects of the MFS Systems, reporting Security Weaknesses and advise on the threat level to the MFS systems and overall ecosystem, the costs associated to correct it and the timeline of such remediation.

• The MFSISS is required to be involved in the entire life cycle of the multiple solutions and needs to show detailed knowledge of the processes involved at each stage and constantly review the Security aspects as well as find methods for resolving the Vulnerabilities that can occur throughout.

• The MFSISS is required to be involved in the process definition for using the MFS systems and constantly review them to ensure that appropriate job segregation is maintained, access privileges are reviewed and security breaches are responded to.

• The MFSRA will need to keep up to date with all latest Security Vulnerabilities and prepare immediate and medium term action plans to mitigate these vulnerabilities.

• The MFSRA will be responsible for the tracking and maintaining all Security actions; he reports the project's progress to management.

• The MFSRA will be responsible for ensuring the overall Security of the software architecture and validating it against the Security system specification.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field (System Engineer, IS Engineer, Information Systems Engineer, IT Security Engineer, Network Systems Security Engineer)
• Post grade and/or courses in Information Security
• Minimum 4 years’ experience working in the IT industry (E-commerce preferably)
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Proved experience management projects. (For E-commerce preferably)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Information Security Role (E-commerce preferably)

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE

• Strong technical understanding of Security aspects with respect to IT Architecture, real time applications and technologies (JAVA, Application servers, databases, Operating Systems, Content Management, networks).
• Strong knowledge and solid experience in reviewing Security for MFS processes and applications (For E-commerce preferably)
• Knowledge and experience in project management. Must have very strong skills in Project Initiation especially in requirements gathering, understanding the level of detail required to proceed with any project, project estimation, planning and rapid mobilization.
• Good understanding of Information Security Systems and good understanding of IT systems features, and integration capabilities
